Connecting Families Program
Connecting Families is a free, evidence based 8-week course for whānau supporting someone affected by borderline personality disorder (BPD) or emotion dysregulation. Family Link runs this course twice a year one evening a week over an 8-week period.

Next course starts Monday the 3rd February 2025. It continues every Monday for 8 weeks, 5:30pm-7:30pm at Family Link.

This program is designed to give whānau practical tools and skills and covers:
· Current research on BPD, emotion dysregulation, and family functioning
· Relationship skills based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help you support your loved one in a compassionate and empathetic way.
· Effective communication skills and techniques
· Group support that builds an ongoing network for whānau
· Individual coping skills for taking care of yourself and your wellbeing.
Your loved one does not need to have a formal diagnosis of BPD for you to attend this course.
However, attendees need to be at least 18 years old.
